Brown Bear, Brown Bear

This week we have done lots of learning around the theme of bears!  We learned about facial features by making a bears head.  We used a fork to paint our bears head- the fork made it look like fur.  We then talked about the bears facial features- eyes, ears and nose- and what those body parts do.  For example, eyes allow us to see.  We then glued on a nose, mouth and eyes to our bears face.  We read the story “The Very Cranky Bear” to go with this craft, here is the read aloud: Story

We  also continued to read “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?”.  Everyone is getting great at reading along with me!  We completed a bear puppet to go with this story.  On the back of the puppet is all of the animals in the story and we coloured them the colour that they are in the story.  You could show your child the story and have them read along with their puppet.  Everyone was very proud of their puppets!
