What a wonderful first few weeks of Pre-K we have had! I have enjoyed getting to know all students and families and can’t wait for all of the adventures we are going to experience together this year.
For the first few weeks of Pre-K, we have focused on our classroom routines. We have become familiar in our classroom environment and also visited the gym and playground. We have also read stories and completed crafts about going to school. I have linked below two stories that we have read. Students will become quite familiar with Pete the Cat as well as the Pigeon books.
We created some “O’fish’al” Preschooler crafts. Everyone enjoyed decorating and wearing headbands for their first day of staggered entry. We also made hand print fish- make sure to look for your child’s hand print fish on our hallway bulletin board.
In the next few weeks we will be learning all about the season Fall. We will be reading stories, singing songs, completing some fun crafts and getting outside to experience Fall as much as possible! Please continue to dress your child for the weather every day.
- Walking Off Campus forms were sent home to be completed and returned. These are for later in the school year when we may venture out in the community. They will stay on file in the office at the school.
- Scholastic Book Orders due Thursday, September 26th. You can order online: Scholastic
- Orange Shirt Day will be on Monday, September 30th and Tuesday, October 1st to honor and bring awareness to the experiences of residential school students.
- The Family Oriented Programming guide is now online to view and register in sessions! Please follow this link: FOP to read about all of the sessions in the FOP guide and register for the sessions that you are interested in attending.
