We have been participating in all sorts of fun Christmas activities over the past two weeks! I won’t share the songs we have been singing, because we are so excited for them to be a surprise for all of our families next week! As a reminder, on Tuesday, December 17th for the T/TH class and Wednesday, December 18th for the M/W class, we will be inviting all families into our classroom at 11:00 am to hear a few songs from us and then share a snack with us.
Linked below are a few of the Christmas stories we have been reading:
Our Candy Cane Bakery and The North Pole play centers have provided such great learning opportunities in our classroom. At the Candy Cane Bakery students can bake cookies for Santa or they have been baking them and serving them to friends. In The North Pole students can decorate the tree, they can be an elf in Santa’s workshop, they can wrap presents and write cards and they can dress up as Santa and Mrs. Claus! Theses play centers foster such great language and communication between students.
We have also been busy decorating our classroom! We completed two crafts where we worked together on a collaborative project. One is the collaborative Christmas trees in our hallway and the other is the string of lights on our classroom door. We also have ornaments hanging from our ceiling and one other special project to surprise you with next week!
- Tuesday and Wednesday next week Christmas activities with families at 11:00 am.
- No School for Pre-K on Thursday, December 19th.
- First day back after Christmas break is Monday, January 6th.
