Rocks for Reconciliation Project

Hello, everyone! With it being a short week, I just wanted to share with you a special project we worked on this week in Pre-K. We painted “Rocks for Reconciliation” along with the rest of the school. Each Pre-K student painted a special rock the colour orange that they brought from home and we put their name on it. Each class then placed their rock in the shape of a heart outside of the school in the flower beds. Make sure to check this out with your child at drop off or pick up!

Miss Lyn also brought in a special book to read to us called Stolen Words. She altered the book a bit to make it more Pre-K age appropriate, but she did share with us some Cree words. Thanks to Miss Lyn for leading this activity!

We also managed to get a group photo for Orange Shirt Day with the M/W class! The T/TH class also participated in this on Tuesday, we just didn’t remember to get a photo!

As a reminder, there is No School, tomorrow, Thursday, September 30th for National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. We will see everyone next week!
