Happy Halloween, everyone! I hope everyone has a fun, safe Halloween weekend! We enjoyed many different Halloween activities in Pre-K this week. Linked below are the stories that we enjoyed listening to this week.
We also continued to practice our 5 Little Pumpkins fingerplay, I have linked below a 5 Little Pumpkins video that your child and they can show you the actions, as well as say the poem along with the video. I have also linked fun Halloween freeze dance songs. Freeze dance is an excellent way to practice our listening and following directions skills!
For our craft this week we made Jack O Lanterns! Check out the photos below! We first painted our paper plate to make a pumpkin and then we glued on the pieces to make a Jack O Lantern. We discussed if we made an angry Jack O Lantern or sad or happy, etc. as well as each of the facial features of our Jack O Lantern (eyes, nose, mouth, eyebrows, etc).
We also completed activities this week such as Halloween stamping, Halloween puzzles, decorating Halloween treat bags and Halloween messy play.
I also had to share with you our special Halloween door decorating project! Every classroom in the school decorated their door for Halloween. In Pre-K we painted each child’s foot white to make a ghost for our door!
